Our expectations

RONA is looking for a DevOps engineer for its Boucherville office. Under the IT Infrastructure Director, the DevOps team works with the architecture and multiple infrastructure teams to deploy a new CI/CD infrastructure.

Your role

  • Partner with enterprise architects, security, and subject matter professionals to establish DevOps standards and procedures
  • Support the building and implementation of CI/CD using leading industry CI/CD tools
  • Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker Containers/Pods
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines
  • Work closely with developers for pipeline troubleshooting from an operational perspective
  • Deploy configuration management tools to automatically deploy updates and fixes into the production environment as well as testing processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline and minimize errors
  • Perform routine application maintenance to ensure the production environment runs smoothly
  • Work with our team to ensure solutions developed align within the organizational preferences on basis of technology and methodology
  • Offer technical and architectural advice to the team
  • Prepare and update clear documentations of deployments, investigations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and resolutions of technical issues.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • A bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, or similar technical role
  • Hands-on experience with envisioning, designing, building, testing, and managing release, code merging and promotion, CI/CD pipelines and tools
  • Experience with implementing and use of CI/CD Systems
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies and tooling
  • Experience with Terraform templates and deployments
  • Strong programming background in .NET, Python, PowerShell, Git, Jenkins, and Shell Scripting languages
  • Knowledge of Katello (Satellite 6), Graphana, Prometheus, Bitbucket and Ansilble
  • Experience with Containerized deployments (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience working in multicloud environments, specifically Azure and GCP
  • Experience with incident on call and ability to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
  • A strong desire to automate everything
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask with can do attitude in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Motivation to learn new technologies in a quick paced environment
  • Experience with Websphere Commerce V9 deployments (Asset)
